between you and me

between you and me

“We make our world significant by the courage of our questions and by the depth of our answers.” – Carl Sagan, Cosmos

“May I ask you a highly personal question? It’s what life does all the time.” – Kurt Vonnegut

Somewhere in the city, above the streets and the shops and the ebb and flow of human traffic, two people engage in a most unusual conversation. They do not meet, they do not speak. Framed in opposing windows across a divide, they wait. An unseen actor poses a series of questions, and they reply. Their answers are for each other alone – unknown to those above or below.

Stranger, lovers, friends: No matter where the two participants begin, they are given the opportunity to go someplace new – with each other, and perhaps within themselves.
